We are delighted to join forces once again with Leicester Cathedral choir, an organisation with whom we have strong links through several shared singing members, choral scholars and the Director of Music Dr Christopher Ouvry-Johns, himself a key bass within our ranks! This shared programme will explore some gloriously epic pieces from the Anglican repertory, including For Lo! I raise up by CV Stanford, The Twelve by William Walton and Gerald Finzi’s ever popular Lo, the full, final sacrifice. Cathedral organist David Cowen, formerly Chorale’s long-serving accompanist and his successor in the role Nick Scott-Burt will add their own flavour and excitement to proceedings with organ solos and duets.
